Descriptif lieu

After scientific studies (Master of Physical Sciences in 1969) and ten years devoted to painting, Patrick BAILLY-MAÎTRE-GRAND has been working with photographic tools since 1980. His works, strictly analogue, black & white silver, are characterised by a playful imagination, associated with a taste for complex technologies such as the Daguerreotype, periphotography, strobophotography, chemical curves, direct monotypes, rayograms and other inventions of his own. Shunning the notion of perspective, his images, though highly sophisticated in their construction, have the simplification of visual proverbs, pared down like haikus.
