With the participation of the photographer Minh Thuyen. In Alsace, a land of vineyards, the vine is part of the landscape, the history and the identity of the region. However, do we know this plant so well? Are the words vine, ampelography and veraison so familiar to us? As part of the 70th anniversary of the Alsace wine route, the exhibition invites you to discover this vine that was born wild, then cultivated and selected into different grape varieties for wine production. Thanks to the particular geological history of Alsace, the vine benefits from the richness of a varied soil and the assurance of a very favourable climate. However, it remains a living being that is sensitive to disease and climate change. And its very cultivation reshapes the landscape and exerts a strong pressure on the natural environment. Through games, interviews, models and sensory devices, visitors will be able to rediscover this amazing species that is the vine!
