This programme proposes 6 to 7 different sites, with numerous possibilities for tours. The visit´s themes can be decided according to the centres of interest.

This "One day" formula is also an opportunity of discovering the whole ancient Regio (The Southern Alsace, the Freiburg and Basel regions).

A. The Wine Route as far as Mont Ste-Odile

More cheerful flower-bedecked villages are to be seen: Andlau, whose 12th century Romanesque portal is the

most richly sculpted one in Alsace, Obernai, formerly the place of residence of the Dukes of Alsace. You will

follow the Route as far as Mont Ste-Odile, following the footsteps of the many pilgrims whose faith drove them to climb the mountain in order to offer their prayers to St Odile, protector of Alsace since the 7th century.

Discover the "Blue line of the Vosges" and its superb panoramic views.

You will first take the "Route des Crêtes" (mountain ridge road) with its grandiose sites, then visit a cheese maker and taste a traditional meal of local specialities.

You have the choice between 2 options:

_The Vologne valley and Gérardmer

_The Grand Ballon

Two different routes are possible for the trip back:

_ The Valley of Guebwiller with Murbach and its abbey

_ The Thur valley with Thann and its collegiate church of St. Thiébaut

Here modernity rubs shoulders with vestiges of the Middle Ages: the museums of Printed Fabrics, Wallpapers, Automobiles, Railways and Electricity are a reminder of Mulhouse´s industrial past and present.

On the outward journey, we propose an optional stop at the Bollenberg: limestone hills

with very special fauna and flora: visit of the Domain, walk in the vineyards to Orschwihr.

Discover the Old Basel, loaded with history and its cathedral which dominates the Rhine from the top of its promontory. Here charming little streets run alongside a prestigious past:

the presence of humanism, great printers, famous painters…

The proof is in the numerous museums, and today the city is still able to play a leading role

in the presentation of collections of modern and contemporary art.

Let yourself be won over by this charming city, a cultural, economic and administrative centre in the south of the Baden region.

The change of scenery is total: admire the cathedral with its richly sculpted portal, the high altar painted by Hans Baldung-Grien and stroll along the streets with little streams running through them, go and find the "Island" quarter where millers, tanners and stone cutters lived.

Discover Strasbourg and its two thousand years of history… Visit the cathedral and

its astronomical clock ; its superb sculptures and precious stained glass windows

are truly worth a visit. Not far from the cathedral, the Rohan´s Castle welcomes you

and the picturesque quarter of "La Petite France", formerly home to tanners and millers, will win you

over with its legendary charm. Before leaving

Strasbourg, take a coach or boat tour along the Ill to

the Council of Europe and the European Parliament.
