The thieves' tower and the winemaker's house

This defensive tower (early 14th century) became one of the town's prisons, the seat of seigneurial justice when Riquewihr belonged to the Württemberg family. You can visit:
- the torture chamber with trapdoor and oubliette,
- the guard room, where you can watch the interrogations, with a collection of torture instruments.
Winegrower's house
The thieves' tower communicates with a 16th-century winegrower's house. Highlights include:
- the kitchen with its antique utensils,
- the bedroom with its furniture,
- the cellar and storeroom, with various tools recalling the work of the winegrower and cooper (with video).
Temporary exhibition: "1918-1925 : Retour difficile de l'Alsace à la France" (with projection of a film on the same theme).
