As the year draws to a close, Riquewihr will commemorate the 80th anniversary of its liberation by American troops of the 36th US Division on December 5, 1944.

.

It is with a great deal of commitment, historical research and ideas, implemented by the Town of Riquewihr, supported by its vital associative forces, that a particularly high-profile program has been able to see the light of day.
May these future memorial moments, more necessary than ever in the troubled times that our continent and our country are once again unfortunately experiencing, serve to weld our bonds, within our societies, more firmly than ever. To say: "never again".
