The imposing Rhenish Renaissance style building made of Vosges sandstone, located on Rue du Général de Gaulle, was built in 1604 by the carpenter Dominique Haecher. It served as the residence and administrative center of the imperial bailiff (the direct representative of the Emperor in the territory of Kaysersberg).
Today, you can find the offices of the Kaysersberg town hall as well as its tourist office.
