Built by Ulric in the 12th century at an altitude of 800 meters on a rocky spur, this castle has had many owners.
First there were the Counts of Eguisheim, then the Counts of Ferettes, followed by the Habsburgs, and finally the Ribeaupierre family in the 15th century before abandoning it in the following century.
The ruins consist of the keep and the remains of the surrounding wall. Moreover, there is a panoramic view on the village and the Vosges mountains.
