This fine arts museum covers 7000 years of history from prehistory to 20th century art. A former 13th century convent, the Unterlinden Museum houses collections of ancient art, including the restored Issenheim Altarpiece (1512-1516). Enlarged by the architects Herzog and de Meuron, an underground gallery gives access to the contemporary part where works by major artists such as Monet, Picasso, de Staël, Matthieu, Dubuffet, Dix, Soulages, and more recently Yan Pei Ming are exhibited. The old baths building houses temporary exhibitions. Entrance tickets are to be paid additionally by the client on the day of the guided tour. For a comfortable visit, our groups are limited to 25 people per guide. 3 choices of tour: Duration: 1 hour Choice between the medieval or the contemporary part.
