The city of Colmar has inherited an exceptional heritage: the libraries of the numerous abbeys of Upper Alsace, dating back to the early Middle Ages and active until the Revolution. These books, both manuscripts and prints, are preserved and exhibited in an exceptional setting: the former Dominican convent, recently restored.
