Colmar Jazz festival : concert from Franck Wolf "Acoustic five"  

With over thirty years of musical experience, Franck Wolf knows exactly how to make an acoustic quintet sound and give it a beautiful orchestral dimension. He combines with great talent the different timbres and all the possible colours of the instruments of this quintet, which plays an extremely lyrical and sophisticated music. He composed a large part of the repertoire, which is deeply rooted in the vocabulary of jazz, and surrounded himself with close musician friends, such as the pianist Jean-Yves Jung, the double bass player Diego Imbert, the violinist Frédéric Norel, as well as Sébastien Giniaux, who excels as much on the guitar as on the cello, and who is also the talented drawer to whom we owe the very beautiful cover of their album!
