Gingerbread has an ancient history. It is said to come from China. It is famous because its composition is rich and complex. Like everything that is precious.

It is the delicacy par excellence of the Christmas season. So what better way to make it into the stuff of wonderful artistic creations than with this elaborate, delicious cake, whose spicy scents transport you.

In my native Moravia, I was lucky enough to inherit an extraordinary art from my grandmother. That of drawing and colouring the most subtle and varied shapes with icing sugar. A tradition that the Czech Republic shares with Alsace, my adopted country.

Since then, I have never stopped illustrating a whole world of tales and legends amidst the fragrant and intoxicating clouds of gingerbread that young and old alike rediscovered, this time dressing the subtle and tasty cake.

Each character, each costume, each object sprung from this universe that I brought to life in my workshops took the path of a home to install the dream and happiness that accompany the days of celebration.

But, very often, those who bought my creations, made this remark to me: "They are so fine, so delicate, so expressive that one prefers to keep them to look at them rather than to eat them".

Faced with such a dilemma, I questioned myself for a long time to give them a logical answer. But today I can finally offer them this solution, which seems to me to be the best: "Buy them in duplicate"

And that will be the end of your questions. Good tasting with your eyes and your palate.
