Colmar was liberated from the Nazi yoke on 2 February 1945. The liberation followed fierce fighting in the previous weeks in what is known as the Colmar Pocket. The Second World War left a lasting mark on the region.
The commemoration of this 80th anniversary is a unique opportunity to pay tribute to those who fought for our freedom, to pass on history to future generations and to share our memories. That's why this programme has been designed to include as many people as possible.
