Following a harrowing hunting episode when, as a child, he felt furtively at one with the beast, Emmanuel sought to experience this strong and singular familiarity. To the dismay of his parents and family, he went so far as to be diagnosed as a therianthrope* and interned. He escaped from the psychiatric hospital and took refuge in the forest. In this matrix of nature, he develops a new perception of time, space, language and the body. This plunge into the world, far from man and as close as possible to the animal, will nevertheless reveal his humanity.
