After taking on the words of Aimé Césaire in Debout dans les cordages, the trio formed by Zone Libre (Serge Teyssot Gay, Cyril Bilbeaud) and rapper Marc Nammour tackle the words of Kateb Yacine in their new creation Dans le crépitement du brasier souterrain. Drawing on Kateb Yacine's poetic anthology, they bring the words of this illustrious revolutionary author and founder of modern Algerian literature up to date. A rebel against all powers, a critic of colonialism, imperialism and all forms of fundamentalism, Kateb Yacine's language is like a flame in a petrol can.
