Through a striking Stations of the Cross in Aotearoa (New Zealand), the exhibition presents photographs of shorelines where whales have stranded. From the southernmost point of Te Wai Pounamu (the South Island) to the northern tip of the country at Cape Reinga, these spaces bear witness to unique relationships with the ocean and to how humans shape its edge. The whales play a foundational and political role: an environmental cry of alarm. A body of work by Vincent Chevillon.
