Castel Isenbourg
In the Merovingian time, the King Dagobert II staied in the castle of Rouffach. Another castel, bigger, was built during the Middle Age in order to be a shelter for the soldiers who shielded the town from danger. The castel was sold during the Revolution to a private citizen who destroied it. At the beginning of the 19th century, a new castle was built and restaured in 1885. Part of the old arched cellar is preserved. Nowadays, the castel is a 5 stars hotel.
