Hospital  

In the south part of Rouffach, there is the hospital which was built in 1904. The first sick came in 1908. Soon the buildings became too short with the raise of the number of sicks. The 21st december 1918, a young doctor, Frantz Adam, was named director of the hospital. Many workings were started in order to enlarge the buildings. In 1939, there were 1553 sicks in the hospital. During the Second World War, there was a military school in the buildings until november 1944. After the Liberation, the buildings were damaged. The Général de Lattre de Tassigny wanted to created another mititary school, but the doctor Frantz Adam brought back the sicks in the hospital. Since then, this hospital has always received the mental patients of the region.
