Fountain Saint-Urban in Rouffach
This fountain was built in 2002 by Jean-Luc Schické. The red light during the night recalls the name "Rubeacum", the Latin name from Rouffach, which means red. The bronze statuettes recalls a legend: in 1699, the harvest were very bad and the angry wine growers put the statue of the wine growers patron saint in the public fountain. the whirlpool symbolises the ripples in consequence of this revolt, and the effervescence of the new ideas in the town nowadays.
