From the very young Beethoven to the mature Debussy, Georgi Anichenko and Anastasya Terenkova explore all the facets of the cello and piano duo, a combination that continued to evolve throughout the 19th century.
From the dazzling Variations on a Theme from The Magic Flute, in which Beethoven pays homage to Mozart's genius while setting the terms of his own musical language, to Debussy's whimsical and poetic Sonata, via Grieg's all too rare Sonata and its warm romanticism, here is a beautiful journey through the bewitching sounds of the cello.
