Nous ne cesserons pas - From the keys of a black and white keyboard, tirelessly raised and lowered by the hands of a virtuoso pianist, springs a dream made of light and shadow, in which a ladder of infinite degrees, erected between heaven and earth, invites humanity to ascend, as do the angels.
Les Noces - Under the glow of a majestic chandelier, abstract nuptials celebrate the effervescence and fragility of a union made up of promises for the future and multiple ruptures, to the haunting rhythm of ancestral chants, organic pulsations and telluric explosions.
In this re-creation of his piece Nous ne cesserons pas, Bruno Bouché reinvests the symbolic and spiritual imagery of an episode from the Book of Genesis, in which Jacob has a vision in his sleep of a divine ladder traversed by angels to the heavens, set to Liszt's Sonata for piano in B minor played by Tanguy de Williencourt. To this desire for elevation, Hélène Blackburn responds with a desire for union in a new choreographic creation set to the masterly music of Stravinsky's Les Noces, performed by the soloists of the Opéra Studio, the Chorus of the Opéra national du Rhin, four pianists and the Percussions de Strasbourg. A powerful choreographic and musical diptych, where energies, genres and aesthetics complement and oppose each other.
