Show for young audiences: Mozart and us, a radio fantasy
Let the music play!
Journalist Anna Sigalevitch and pianist Célimène Daudet compose a radio fantasy, in words and music, dedicated to Mozart and his work. It's a poetic and educational journey into the life of the most prodigious of composers.
We are in a radio studio, a few minutes before the recording of a musical programme for children. A familiar voice to Radio France listeners, Anna Sigalevitch dons her actor's hat to share her passion for Mozart with the youngest listeners. Created with the Franco-Haitian pianist Célimène Daudet, the show recounts the intimate and sensitive relationship between the two women and the musician's works. By evoking his extraordinary and turbulent destiny, they paint a portrait of a Mozart who is very much alive, far from the myth that surrounds him. To start the programme, the pianist has chosen the Fantasy in D minor, which in itself contains the entire universe of the Austrian composer: drama, dance and gaiety. Each of the works on the programme, from the Requiem to the Magic Flute, is a pretext for tackling a theme, in the form of an interview or a musical narrative: the childhood of Wolfgang Amadeus, the era in which he lived, but also the accessible pleasure of playing an instrument or the profession of performer. And to prove that composers can be fun to play with, the audience is invited to create a new version of the Turkish March!
