Descriptif lieu

The Wineck castle, nicknamed "the castle of the vines", offers the discovery of an imposing shield wall behind which springs up like a devil from its rock box, a square Romanesque keep, erected with limestone humpback stones around the year 1200. Raised in the 14th century, this tower is the object of all the attention of the association of the friends of the Wineck and the society for the restoration and conservation of the castle of Katzenthal, who have rescued it from oblivion and destruction.
